Kharabela Swain to get police protection during his Meetings
ONI Bureau: Odisha DGP Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sharma has directed SPs of all districts to make necessary security arrangements and provide police protection to former MP and Utkal Bharat President Kharabela Swain during his meetings across the State.
The decision was taken in the wake of recent attacks on Kharabela Swain in Aul, Khaira and then Kashipur in Rayagada district, where he was assaulted during the Facebook Live by a youth, allegedly linked to ruling BJD.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has already ordered a crime branch probe into the incident.
