Labourers Death in Chennai; Dist Administration assures to consider all demands

odisha-labour-brick-workers-1-300x202The family of the four labourers of Kebidi village under Borigumma block of Koraput district, who had killed in a train accident in Chennai, agreed to perform the funeral of the bodies after the district administration on Monday assured them to consider their all demands.

The district administration already discussed with the State Government to provide more compensation to the kin and assured to arrest the labour agent and take strong action against him.

Meantime, the labour agent Prasant Gorda, who took the labourers to Tamil Nadu, has been absconding.

Notably, the four deceased are identified as Bhaskar Jani, Kumar Kuldeep, Gorkha Muduli, Keshaba Jani. They had gone to Chennai for daily wage work. They were hit by a train while crossing the railway line near Egmore railway station.
