Lawyers hit the Street, protest abolition of Odisha SAT

The lawyers of Bhubaneswar SAT Bar Association have staged a massive demonstration today, protesting against the Odisha Government’s decision to abolish the Odisha Administrative Tribunal (OAT) or SAT. They also blocked the Bhubaneswar-Puri NH near BJB College and burnt tyres.

The Bhubaneswar SAT Bar Association office bearers met Governor SC Jamir today. They will meet the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Orissa High Court Bar Association has decided to begin their agitation in protest of abolition of OAT. All lawyer associations in Cuttack will also join the strike.
