Naveen Patnaik announces Rs 17,000 crore programme to generate employment

As Odisha proceeds with its battle the COVID-19 pandemic, the State government on Friday announced a ₹17,000 crore exceptional livelihood intervention package to support the country economy by improving occupations.

The bundle, which will be actualized between June 2020 and March 2021, was affirmed at a gathering of the State Council of Ministers led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

The bundle will bolster employments of the rustic populace, including ranchers, breadwinners and vagrant labourers who have been hit hard by the monetary emergency activated by the pandemic, said Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy after the gathering of the Council of Ministers.
