NCPCR team to conduct inspections of Child Care Institutions in Odisha

ONI Bureau: Taking serious note of the alleged sexual harassment of inmates at Beltikri Shelter Home in Dhenkanal district, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has planned to conduct inspections of Child Care Institutions across Odisha.

The inspection team and members of Advisory Committee of NCPCR would start inspection from tomorrow.

As per sources, NCPCR will conduct inspections in 56 randomly selected Child Care Institutions in 19 districts including all shelter homes of NGO ‘Good News India’.

Yashwant Jain, member of NCPCR will hold a meeting with the WCD Odisha & Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights tomorrow.
