NHM Director asks Contractual Nurses to end stir & resume work in 24 Hours

ONI Bureau: Odisha Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), Shalini Pandit has given a 24 hour ultimatum to agitating contractual NHM staff nurses to resume their duty or else they may be terminated as per their contract.

During the launching of 108 ambulance service earlier today, NHM Mission Director said to media persons that the Health Minister has already assured the agitating Staff Nurses to look into their grievances soon but if they do not join their duty within 24 hours, they may be terminated for violating the law. A show cause notice have already issued in this regard, Pandit said.

Notably, as many as 2,000 contractual staff nurses, appointed under the National Health Mission (NHM) began cease-work agitation that have reached sixth day in a row and reportedly they had started hunger strike from today.
