—   A Facebook friend murdered 7-year-old son of woman as she declines his love proposal. The accused Debasish was arrested and confessed his crime. Police seized Ashish’s ID-Card and school dress from Debasish’s possession.

—   Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) Exams cancelled as Board of Secondary Education (BSE) confirms Question Paper leak. Earlier today OTET Question Papers leaked and went viral on Social Media. The exam was scheduled to be held in two shifts today. Exam was held in the first shift.

— Samba Dashami is being celebrated today by Odias; devotees in large number thronged Konark to take a ‘holy dip’ and offer prayers to Sun God. It is celebrated on the 10th day of the Sukla Paksha of Pausha Masa.

—   A 19-year-old boy of Khadamguda village in Malkangiri district was allegedly stoned to death; family members alleged murder over love affair.

—   Over 20 Jaundice related cases have been reported in Shikharpur area of Cuttack in the past few days.

—   Debi Prasad Dash (55) from Odisha, Chief Design Engineer (Electrical) of Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF) played crucial role in Train 18 project.

—   Odisha Chit Fund Scam: Justice MM Das Commission identified another 5,000 small depositors. This is the sixth interim report of the Commission. The commission had verified total 5.93 lakh affidavits in five phases.

—   Carcass of a leopard was found near Mankadchua village near Rengali Reservoir in Angul district.

—   A minor boy was found dead at Salachua village in Keonjhar district; family members alleged that he was beaten to death by his friends.
