Odisha Assembly passes motion to forgive Abhijit Iyer-Mitra

ONI Bureau:  The House Committee of the Odisha Assembly has recommended the House to excuse journalist Abhijit Iyer Mitra for his alleged derogatory remarks against Odisha legislators and drop the matter.

A motion moved in the Assembly to excuse Abhijit Iyer for his remarks have passed, informed House Committee chairman and Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra.

It is to be noted that earlier, Mitra appeared before Odisha Assembly House Committee three times and submitted affidavit over his alleged derogatory remarks against State MLAs.
