Odisha BJP ups the ante over Kunduli Victim’s Suicide

ONI Bureau: The Bharatiya Janata Party in Odisha has decided to launch a massive agitation across the state today and tomorrow in protest against Kunduli ‘gangrape’ victim’s shocking suicide.

It was confirmed by BJP’s Mahila Morcha President Pravati Parida. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan condoled the demise of Kunduli victim and lashed out at the BJD Government and CM Naveen Patnaik for failing to provide justice to her. He also urged the Government and Administration to become sensitive towards the cause of women.

Taking a dig at Naveen Patnaik, he said, “While his government remains insensitive towards real issues and problems, the CM is busy collecting awards from private education institutions and promoting that heavily to gain political mileage”.

BJP Spokesperson Sajjan Sharma called it a ‘brutal murder’ and said CM Naveen Patnaik’s Home Department has failed to deliver justice to women and girls of Odisha.

Union Minister Jual Oram came down heavily on CM Naveen Patnaik and blamed him for this shocking incident, while seeking his resignation. “It’s a calculated murder. From CM to DGP and SP, all are responsible for this,” he added.
