CM Naveen Patnaik condoles Kunduli Victim’s Demise

ONI Bureau: CM Naveen Patnaik, who arrived in Bhubaneswar to a shocking news of Kunduli ‘gangrape’ victim’s suicide, condoled her death and took the matter seriously. The CM also sent condolence message to the victim’s family.

BJD Spokespersons Pratap Deb and Dr. Sasmit Patra told the media that as it’s a very sensitive matter and the suicide happened during the course of the judicial probe, it’s very unfortunate and shocking. The CM has directed the authorities to look into all angles and deliver justice”.

BJP leader and former Koraput MP Jayaram Pangi as well as Congress MLA from Jeypore Tara Prasad Bahinipati have demanded CBI probe into the matter.

BJP Spokesperson Sajjan Sharma called it a ‘brutal murder’ and said CM Naveen Patnaik’s Home Department has failed to deliver justice to women and girls of Odisha.

Union Minister Jual Oram came down heavily on CM Naveen Patnaik and blamed him for this shocking incident, while seeking his resignation.

Meantime, BJP Mahila Morcha has decided to launch a state-wide agitation on this matter.
