Odisha celebrates Kartika Purnima with traditional fervour

Insight Bureau: Odisha remembered its maritime past on Saturday by celebrating Kartika Purnima or Boito Bondano with traditional fervour.

The men, women and children across the State headed for the nearest water body in early morning to set afloat boats with lamps, betel leaves, crackers fruits and coins.

This day is observed every year on the full moon day of the holy Odia Month of Kartik.
