Odisha CM announces Rs 5 Cr additional assistance for Kerala Floods

ONI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announcedan additional financial assistance of Rs 5 Crores for Kerala from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund ( CMRF). This is in addition to the 5 Crores sanctioned earlier.

In addition, Odisha Govt has also ordered 500 MT of Polythene Sheets worth about 8 Crores to be sent to Kerala.

244 trained Fire Service Personnel trained with 65 rescue boats and other equipments have alresdy been sent to Kerala. The Labour Department of Odisha has rushed its officials to Kerala to help locate and rescue Odia labourers stranded in the flood-ravaged State.
