Odisha CM dedicates 200 Hostels for Students

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated 200 new hostels for the students of the State. The hostels have been built by the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department.

Laying emphasis on education, the Chief Minister said that his government is giving more priority to the welfare and all round development of tribals, dalits and empower the students of scheduled class and scheduled tribe through education.

It is to be noted that, students of SC and ST are being educated in as many as 1600 institutes in Odisha.

Under the Anwesha and Akanksha schemes, more than 5000 hostels have been built and around and 26,000 thousand students are being educated.
