Odisha CM welcomes demonitisation of Rs 1000, Rs 500 Notes

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to demonetize Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 notes.

The Chief Minister said it is a bold step taken by the Prime Minister to curb black money, fake currency & terror funding.

“My Government is committed to support all measures aimed at transparency in governance”, Patnaik tweeted.

Earlier, on Tuesday the Prime Minister announced demonetization of Rs 500 and 1000 notes and announced that government will introduce new Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 notes soon.
