Odisha Crime Branch takes Motilal Gouda on six-day remand

The Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court allowed the Crime Branch of Odisha Police to take Motilal Gouda on a six-day remand for interrogation.

Notably, Gouda was arrested from Vizag-Vijayanagaram in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. He was accused in the issuance of fake gazette notification, swindling the public money and defrauding the state government.

The State government suspended him and ordered the Crime Branch (CB) for inquiry into the alleged irregularities.

Meanwhile, the vigilance officials raided his official residential quarters and clinics on Saturday.
