Odisha CSR Congress-2015 held at KIIT

imageThe Odisha CSR Congress-2015 was organized at the KIIT University recently by THINK MEDIA INC in association with KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM). On this occasion, Panel Discussion, Award Ceremony, and Showcasing of Case Study by Corporate House, PSUs, NGOs and Academicians were held.

The main objective of this conference was structured towards sharing perspectives, experiences and good practices in CSR that will enable business leaders, Government representatives, CSR Professionals and members from the Civil Society to analyze different strategies for mainstreaming CSR and work towards equitable overall development.

The theme was “CSR – A New Definition, A New Agenda for Action”. Corporate representatives participated in panel discussion on integrating CSR in the corporate strategy-an Actionable Business Agenda, Social Innovation for Economic Growth and Business Sustainability, CSR-An actionable business agenda, process and development in CSR arena in Odisha and in our country.

Corporate representatives shared their Success stories and best practices in CSR. Think Media’s best CSR Practices Award-2015 was awarded to case study of GMR Kamalanga Energy Ltd on women Empowerment and case study of Essar Foundation on skill development

Charudutt Panigrahi, Founder FIDR; Mr. Ashok Das, Director, Sankalp; Sandeep Simon Behera, Co-Founder, Think Media Inc.; Prof. L. K. Vasvani, Director KSRM; Dilip Kar, Programme Head, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, and Keshab Jena from Corporate Communication, GMR Group; Srikanta Kar, Vice President (Corporate Affairs) and Ranjit Mohanty from Essar Group; Dharma Rao Degala, State Service Delivery (Expert) of Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust were present.

This was the second time that many corporate, Social Organizations, students, academicians CSR Experts came together for the Odisha CSR Congress 2015. The Congress surely provided valuable inputs to the corporate who are working in the CSR domain.
