Odisha DFO Anshu Pragyan Das To Receive Natwest Earth Heroes Award

Odisha Forest Officer Anshu Pragyan Das will be receiving the prestigious Natwest Earth Heroes Award in the ‘Green Warrior’ category. The DFO, Ecotourism Odisha, has worked for five years at the Satkosia Tiger Reserve.

Anshu Pragyan Das will be felicitated for her ‘outstanding work in the protection of tiger habitat, harnessing the support of communities through ecotourism enterprise and the revival of the endangered gharials in the Mahanadi riverine habitat at Satkosia.’

The award ceremony will be held on October 8 on a virtual platform. Anshu along with seven other winners will be awarded in the presence of Elizabeth Maruma Mrema, Assistant Secretary General of United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity,
