Odisha Govt terminates Air Odisha Service

Air OdishaThe Odisha government on Tuesday terminated agreement with Air Odisha Aviation Private Limited which was providing daily air connectivity to multiple destinations from the capital city Bhubaneswar to Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Jeypore and Sambalpur.

Executive Director of Centre For Modernising Government Initiative (CMGI) NK Sethi directed Air Odisha to remove its aircraft from the government hangar.

Asutosh Pani, CEO of Air Odisha said that the Air Service Operation Agreement (AOA) is terminated from 1st June 2016 and the Performance Security deposited by Air Odisha is forfeited.

Earlier, the Government had issued a show cause notice on Air Odisha after it found that the operator didn’t attain the terms and condition mentioned in the agreement.

The company has many issues relating to online booking and delay in refund in case of cancellations.
