Odisha Govt to open ‘Model Schools’ in all 314 Blocks

The Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the performance of School and Mass Education Department during the last two years, at the State Secretariat on Thursday.

After that meeting School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra revealed that,  government have decided to set up Open Schools in all 314 Blocks in Odisha this year.

Odisha government have plan to establish Adarsh Vidyalayas in all Blocks of the State by 2018-19.

The Chief Minister directed the department that there should be no compromise in the quality of education in the government run schools.

The dropout students will get the facility to study in these Open Schools & clear matriculation and also appear High School Certificate (HSC) examinations.
