Odisha: House Panel summons Abhijit Iyer to appear on Oct 11

ONI Bureau:  The Odisha Assembly House Committee today sent notice to Journalist Abhijit Iyer Mitra to appear before the committee on October 11 in breach of privilege case, informed Leader of opposition Narasingha Mishra.

Committee chairman Narasingha Mishra today chaired the second meeting of Odisha House Committee to inquire into Abhijit Iyer’s anti-Odisha remarks. Mishra said to media persons that Iyer has been asked to depose before the panel at Room No. 55 of Odisha Assembly by 11 am on October 11.

Earlier, in its first meeting, the House Committee had been served notice to Odisha DGP, Director of Odisha Police Intelligence and two media houses to depose before the panel today.
