Odisha Scientist Appointed As Representative Of India With WMO
Odia Scientist, Director General (DG) of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mrutyunjay Mahapatra has been appointed as the Permanent Representative of India with the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).
Mohapatra held the position of DG of the Meteorological Department and also the Head of Cyclone Warning Division and Regional Specialised Meteorological Centre (RSMC)-Tropical Cyclone, New Delhi, prior to his appointment with the WMO.
Mohapatra was born in Bhadrak and completed his graduation from Bhadrak College. He joined India Meteorological department in 2005.Odisha News Insight
