Odisha Trade Unions to support Bharat Bandh on September 2

bharat bandThe Trade Unions called a nation-wide strike on September 2, against government’s announcements on hiking the minimum wage. The Trade Unions in Odisha will also join the Bharat Bandh.

The State Trade Unions leaders of the CPI, CPM, CPI(ML), SUCI and Forward Bloc decided to extend support to the national strike called by Central Trade Unions.

The Trade Unions are demanding a monthly minimum wage of Rs 18,000 and minimum monthly pension of Rs 3,000.

The central and local trade unions with affiliations with worker associations in government offices, banks, factories and other sectors including over 18 crore workers will be participated in Bandh.

All private schools, colleges, shops and business establishments will be remained close in Odisha and across the Country.

It will affect the rail, transport and banking services in Odisha. Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Sambalpur and Baleswar areas will be affected largely.
