Official Heatwave Toll rises to 30 in Odisha, Bhubaneswar Hottest

HeatwaveFor the fourth consecutive day, Bhubaneswar remained the hottest city in Odisha, as it recorded 40.3 degrees C. All others towns in the state reported temperature below 40 degrees.

The government has admitted the death of 30 people due to heatwave. However, the unofficial toll has crossed 146 across the state. Due to rains in many pats of the state, mercury level has gone down a bit. But, things may become worse again after June 5.

The monsoon in Odisha may get delayed for sometime. Once the monsoon arrives in Kerala on June 5, it may hit the Odisha Coast after June 22. Another round of heatwave is expected after June 5.
