Operation Black Smoke: Commissionerate Police nabs Two

A police team comprising of the members of the QAT of Commissionerate Police and Tamando Police station nabbed two persons at Kalinga Nagar areas in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. Police forwarded both the accused to Court on Monday.

Police informed that the accused persons were identified as Sunil Nayak (18) of Narendrapur of Sarankul PS area and Santosh Nayak (19) of Sangarada of Narendrapur under Sarankul PS area of Nayagarh district. Police recovered .9mm semi automatic pistol from their possession. They failed to provide any license of the arm they possessed.

A case has been registered vide Tamando police station Case No.138 dated 08.02.2015 under section 25 of Arms Act. The identity, character antecedents of the accused persons and involvement of any other person in this illegal trafficking of fire-arms is under verification, according to a statement issued by the Commissionerate Police.
