Orissa High Court stays Malkangiri ZP Chairman Election

At a time, when all the districts in Odisha are set to get a new Zilla Parishad President on Sunday, the people of Malkangiri have to wait for few more days to get their new ZP President as the Orissa High Court on Friday issued a stay order for the election of Zilla Parishad Chairman in Maoist infested Malkangiri district till further order.

According to the report, BJP candidate Siburam Tangulu has filed a petition in the Court seeking to postpone ZP Chairman Election in the district as voting was not held in Chitrakonda zone 7 and zone 8 during the Panchayat Polls.
