OSAP Jawan arrested on rape charge in Gajapati Dist

ONI Bureau: Rayagada Police today arrested Orissa State Armed Police (OSAP) jawan Ishwar Mali from Vijayawada on charges of raping a married woman on January 16 in Rayagada village of Gajapati district.

Reportedly, the accused jawan, a sepoy of R.Udaygiri Police Station forcibly entered into the house and raped a woman while her husband had gone to Andhra Pradesh. The accused threatened to kill her if she discloses the matter to anyone, she alleged.

In this regard, the woman has filed a complaint at the Rayagada police station on January 20.
