Oscar Group Chief & Film Producer arrested for Rs 230 Crore Chit Fund Fraud

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch Police have arrested the Oscar Chit Fund Company Chief and film producer Prabhas Chandra Rout from New Delhi for allegedly duping investors of Rs 230 crore, Crime Branch Special DG BK Sharma said today.

The realtor and movie producer had been residing in a Jagannath temple in New Delhi with a fake identity.

The Oscar Group of Companies was running in three States, Odisha, Gujarat and Mandhya Pradesh and duped crores of rupees from people.

Rout had produced films like Rangila Toka and Balunga Toka.
