PIL filed in Orissa High Court over Jagamohan Repair

A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed by a social activist in the Orissa High Court today seeking the intervention in repair of Jagamohan of Jagannath Temple, Puri.

The petitioner listed the Director General (DG) of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), state Archaeology department, chief administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Puri King, Puri Collector and some others as the responsible parties.

According to the petition, the Jagamohan is in a dilapidated condition, but both the State and Central governments remained silent over the issue.
