PM Modi urges to make NISER Greenest Campus of India

NISER-OdishaPM Narendra Modi has dedicated to the nation the National Institute of Science Education & Research (NISER) at Jatni near Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He rued less greenery in the campus and asked authorities to make it a Greenest Campus of India in two years.

Odisha Governor SC Jamir, CM Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patsani and many others were present at the occasion.

PM Narendra Modi also felicitated Lalita Prasida Sripada Srisai, who won the top award at Google Science Fair, ASHA Worker Jamuna Mani Singh (Balasore), who worked towards malaria eradication and Srikant Sahu (Nabarangpur), who won a national skill contest.

Modi-NISER* The moment innovation stops, systems lose their life. Innovation is the need of the hour, for every society and every era.

* NISER will promote scientific education and research in Odisha and will draw more students to take up study of basic sciences.

* I urge NISER to take steps for developing scientific temper among school students.

* PM asks NISER to conduct workshop for school science teachers of Odisha.

* Odisha is the state of ‘black diamond’. But, we need to ensure that that does not become a liability for us.

* We need Saffron Revolution, Green Revolution, White Revolution and Blue Revolution to take the nation forward.

* Energy consumption is the need of the hour. We must focus more on solar energy.
