The Jagannath Temple in Puri is likely to re-open in mid-December for the devotees. A three-tier process has been put in place for its opening, said Dr. Krishan Kumar, Chief Administrator of the temple.
A proposal will be prepared by the administration comprising of the Chief Administrator, Puri Collector, SP and the Chhattisha Nijog. It will then be submitted to the State Government for approval.
The next temple body meeting is scheduled to be held on November 21. The Jagannath Temple in Puri is shut since March 20, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
