Pyari Mohapatra alleges BJD Conspiracy to attack him at Begunia

Rajya Sabha MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra while talking to Kanak TV, has claimed that there was a coordinated attack against him and the central leaders at Begunia Railway Station yesterday during the inauguration of Khordha-Balangir rail route.

“Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu was shielded by Railway officials. I was also targeted by the BJD workers led by Ganesh Jagdev. I had a narrow escape. It was very surprising that no policemen were present at that time. I was rescued by my aides and other kind-hearted people from BJD and BJP”, he said.

Pyari dismissed reports that he was planning to join the BJP. “People of Odisha won’t vote for the national parties. Our OJM will emerge as an alternative to the BJD in future”, he said.

While talking about Naveen Patnaik, Pyari slammed him for not showing a normal courtesy despite being younger in age. He always tried to ignore me during the flight journey and did the same yesterday too. I have no objections to sit with him or discuss the issues related to people’s interest,” he added.
