Raja Mahotsav by Kalinga Bharati Foundation kicks off in Gurugram

ONI Bureau: The two-day Raja Mahotsav organised by Kalinga Bharati Foundation, kicked off at the Jewels Garden, Gurugram. The event would be concluded on Sunday.

Social Activist & Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s wife Mridula Thakur Pradhan, who was also the Guest of Honour, inaugurated the event along with Guest of Honour Sanjeev Patajoshi (IPS) ADG, Joint Secretary of Panchayati Raj, GoI.

The interesting feature of the event was non-stop Odia speech by Mridula Thakur Pradhan without reading from any paper. The programme as well as her speech were highly impressive.

The festival attended by over 3,000 people from Delhi-NCR, included Raja Doli, authentic Odia cuisine, Rangoli (Jhoti) competition etc. A kid’s corner was arranged for the children with various activities to grab their attention.

A musical extravaganza was organised which mesmerised the crowd. The young dancers as well as artists enthralled the audience with their scintillating performance.

President of Kalinga Bharati Foundation, Akshay Samal thanked everyone for marking their attendance and making the festival a huge success. Srimant Biswal & Ipsapratibimbita Sarangi coordinated the event. Senior Journalist Kishore Dwibedi & renowned Social Worker Arundhati Devi were present at the occasion.

A two-minute silence was observed in memory of Late Bansidhar Panda.

The event will conclude tomorrow. MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda will be the Chief Guest at tomorrow’s function.
