Ranji Trophy: Govind Podder hits Ton, Odisha forced to Follow On

Despite a valiant knock of 148 by Govind Podder, Odisha could manage just 274 in reply to Vidarbha’s first innings score of 46 and forced to follow on. At close on Day 3, Odisha were 15/0 in the second innings.

They are still trailing by 178 runs. It would be interesting to see whether they can avoid a defeat in this Ranji Trophy tie or just crumble under pressure on the final day today.

For Odisha, apart from Podder, Girija Rout (25), Anurag Sarangi (35) and Pratik Das (21) were the other contributors. Skipper Biplab Samantray, debutant wicket-keeper Rajesh Dhupar, Deepak Behera and Jayanta Behera failed to open their account. For Vidarbha, Akshay Wakhare took 4 wickets, while Ravikumar Thakur took three wickets. Ravi Jangid took two wickets.
