SC stays HC order disqualifying Sundargarh MLA Jogesh Singh

ONI Bureau:  In a significant judgement, the Supreme Court on Tuesday issued stay order on Orissa High Court’s decision to disqualify Sundargarh Congress MLA Jogesh Singh.

The Apex Court said the MLA will continue as member of Odisha Legislative Assembly, informed by the senior Advocate Pitambar Acharya.

Earlier Jogesh Singh was declared null and void by the Orissa High Court on grounds of submitting fake caste certificate while filing his nomination for the 2014 Assembly Elections.
