Shame for Odisha: Rape of 6 minor girls reported in 24 hours

ONI Bureau:  Spate of sexual violence continues in Odisha as six more rape cases reported in last 24 hours from different parts of the State on Thursday.

As per the report, two rape cases were reported from Balasore, two from Cuttack, one from Nabrangpur and Ganjam.

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 40 years old neighbour at Ria village under Simulia police limits in Balasore district. Similarly, a 10-yr-old mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by her 58-yr-old relative at her home in Dagara village under Baliapal police limits in Balasore district.

Meantime, an 11-yr-old girl was raped by a 60-yr-old man at Mahupatna PS in Cuttack. Now she is undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital. Another minor girl was allegedly raped by her relatives in Salepur of Cuttack district.

Similarly, a student of class eight was allegedly abducted and raped by two youths at the Sanmari village in Nabarangpur district on Wednesday.

Likewise, in a shameful incident, a 15-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by her cousin in Jagannath Prasad Police Station area in in Bhanjanagar of Ganjam district.
