Sishu Bhawan Deaths: Dharmendra Pradhan seeks Nadda’s Intervention

Dharmendra Pradhan MinisterAs 35 infants died at Cuttack Sishu Bhawan in the last seven days, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took a note of the situation and wrote to Union Health Minister JP Nadda’s, seeking his immediate intervention.

While the government has ordered a probe into the incident, there is no respite from the series of deaths at Sishu Bhawan. Odisha Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Health Secretary Arati Ahuja remain clueless to the precarious situation prevails at Sishu Bhavan, which has turned into a death bed for infants.

“I have written to Union Health Minister Mr J P Nadda seeking his intervention in recent spate of sudden rise of infant deaths in Cuttack based paediatrics hospital popularly know as Sishu Bhawan in Odisha. Have requested Health Minister to constitute a team to review the situation and help in finding solution”, said Dharmendra Pradhan.
