Smart City Rourkela: BJP MLA Dilip Ray thanks PM Narendra Modi

BJP MLA from Rourkela, Dilip Ray has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu for granting ‘Smart City’ status to Rourkela along with Bhubaneswar.

Only two cities from Odisha, Bhubaneswar and Rourkela figured in the list 98 Smart Cities announced today. While Bhubaneswar was the top choice, Rourkela beat the stiff competition from Cuttack, Sambalpur and Brahmapur to emerge winner.

“I am extremely thankful to our beloved Prime Minister Sj. Narendra Modiji and Urban Development Minister Sj. Venkaiah Naiduji for having awarded the SMART CITY status to Rourkela despite of all odds and also to the State Capital”, Dilip Ray said.
