Two UK Returnees Test COVID-19 Positive in Bhubaneswar

Two returnees from UK have tested positive for COVID-19, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary informed. The City administration has received a list of 20 UK returnees.

Chaudhary said the symptomatic persons were tested for the virus and two were found to be positive. The administration is keeping a close watch on the other UK Returnees.

However, it is still not clear whether the affected persons carry the mutant strain of COVID-19.

The positive samples were sent to National Institute of Virology, Pune for genome sequencing.
