Union Minister Manoj Sinha to pay Homage to Chakhi Khuntia today

As part of the BJP’s “70 Saal Azadi – Zara Yaad Karo Kurbani” programme, Union Telecommunications Minister Manoj Sinha on Saturday will pay tribute to prominent freedom fighter of Odisha Chandan Hajuri, popularly known as Chakhi Khuntia.

The ‘Yaad Karo Kurbani’ programme, organised by the saffron party to offer tributes to freedom fighters, would culminate on August 23.

Meanwhile, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram paid tribute to Veer Surendra Sai at Khinda in Sambalpur district and Consumer Affairs Minister Chhotu Ram Chaudhary visited the birthplace of martyr Baji Rout at Bhuban in Dhenkanal district.

Speaking to media persons BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said, that the programme has been organizing to commemorate the sacrifices of the martyrs during the freedom struggle of India.
