Veteran Odia Journalist Barendra Krushna Dhal dies at 77

Odia Journalism lost its gem today, as legendary Journalist and Columnist Barendra Krushna Dhal passed away at the age of 77. He breathed his last at his Bhubaneswar residence following a prolonged illness. His wife Snehalata Dhal died earlier this year on 6th January 2016.

Barendra Krushna Dhal, the founder of Book Fair Movement in Bhubaneswar, had celebrated the 75th Birthday Celebration in January 2015 and said, “Till end of my life I will continue writing. Several politicians, including Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP President Basant Panda, BJP leader Biswabhushan Harichandan, Odisha Ministers Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Ashok Panda condoled the demise of Barendra Krushna Dhal.
