Weekend Shutdown Begins in Urban Areas Of Odisha

The weekend shutdown came into force in the urban areas of Odisha from 9pm on Friday (night curfew till 5am followed by weekend shutdown).

However, a one-hour window between 5am and 6am has been permitted for morning walks and cycling.

For stringent implementation of the shutdown, police forces have been deployed at 25 points in Cuttack and 43 points in Bhubaneswar.

A total of 250 police officers have been deployed in Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.
