Woman Self-Immolates; Husband, Mother-in-law Suffer Burn Injuries Trying to Save Her

A woman set herself on fire over a family dispute in Baidapur village under Betanati police limits in Mayurbhanj district.

Her husband and mother-in-law suffered burn injuries while trying to save her.

Disturbed over family dispute, the woman identified as Saraswati Singh poured kerosene and set herself on fire.

Her husband Gair and mother-in-law Raimani, who tried to save her, were injured and admitted to Baripada Medical College and Hospital.

Saraswati was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital and her condition is stated to be serious.
