Australia beat Bangladesh in T20 World Cup

It was a must win game for Australia following their loss to New Zealand earlier. And, they did not disappoint their fans. They beat Bangladesh by 3 wickets in a tight finish.

Bangladesh posted 156/5 in 20 overs, thanks to good contribution from Mohammad Mithun (23), Shakib Al Hasan (33) and Mahmudullah (49*). For Australia, Adam Zampa took three wickets, while Shane Watson took two wickets.

In reply, Australia started well, but lost the way in the middle. However, Glenn Maxwell changed the course of the game with his 26 off 15 balls. Usman Khawaja scored 58, while Watson made 21. They reached 157/7 in 18.3 overs. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan took three wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman took two wickets. Adam Zampa was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
