Bissam Cuttack Players represent Odisha at Soft Tennis Senior World Championship
Manoj Pradhani (23yrs) & Sheikh Gous (20 yrs ) of Bissam Cuttack in Rayagada District has represented Odisha and performed the empire ship successfully at R K Khanna Stadium during the 15th soft tennis Senior world Championship held on 16th Nov to 22nd Nov at New Delhi.
During this world championship Manoj and Gous has conducted empire ship in 19 matches and 17 match respectively. Previously both of them have participated in various national level championship.
The same was organized by India Soft tennis federation, New Delhi where 32 teams from various counties like China, Japan, Thailand, Korea, Germany, Poland, USA, Brazil, Pakistan, China TIFI, Nepal, Hunger, Vietnam, and Mongolia etc. Participated.Around 70 referries have been selected to conduct the world Championship matches.
In the final match in between Korea and Japan, Korea won the 15th Soft tennis senior world Championship cup and Md. Azam from Odisha was being felicitated as No 1 Empire.
After successfully completion of the championship while reaching at Bissam Cuttack Station, both Manoj , Gous were received warmly at the Bissam Cuttak Railway station to day morning by the People of Bissam Cuttack. With grand way they made a rally on the streets of Bissam Cuttack, Muniguda.
Various sports organizations of the district welcome them and go for processions. Mr. Pamod Panigrahi(President ) & Mr Subhendu Choudhury(Secretary) of Rayagada District Handball Association, Mr. Sidhartha Behera-PRO(Vedanta Limited), Mr. Dilip Maharana-Sr. Advocate, Mr. Prithviraj Sahu-Secretary Rayagada Sipoc Tracko & District Cricket Association , Sashi Patnaik welcome and felicitated these two youth talents at Bissam Cuttack.
To be informed that total 04 nos. have been selected from Odisha along with Bikash Patnaik and Md Azam. All the guests expressed that the two talents are the pride of Odisha as well as the district and wish for a better carrier.
On this eve both the referees expressed their grateful and thanked Md.Azam – Secretary Odisha Soft tennis Association for esteemed support to give a chance for participating in the championship.
