Bye Bye Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 will be Next Destination

The biggest Sports Extravaganza, Rio Olympics 2016 came to an end at a glittering ceremony in Brazil’s Maracana Stadium. United States topped the medal tally with 46 Gold, 37 Silver and 38 Bronze medals (total 121).

Great Britain finished second with 27 Gold, 23 Silver and 17 Bronze medals – a phenomenal improvement as compared to previous Olympics. China secured third spot with 26 Gold, 18 Silver and 26 Bronze medals. Russia finished fourth with 19 Gold, 18 Silver and 19 Bronze medals.

Hosts Brazil secured 13th spot in the medal tally with 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze medals. The next Olympics will be hosted by Japan in Tokyo. Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes handed over the Olympic Flag to Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike.
