Construction of Rourkela Hockey Stadium To Begin In April

The construction of Rourkela Hockey Stadium will begin in April. The stadium is touted to be the biggest hockey stadium in India.

On Monday, a high level committee of the Odisha Government including Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and 5T Secretary visited the proposed site of the stadium.

The stadium will be built inside the campus of Biju Patnaik University of Technology.

“The layout will be prepared soon and eventually get approval. The work will likely start from April. We will try to complete the stadium within a record one year,” said Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra.
