Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer to win Wimbledon Open 2015

Serbian Novak Djokovic retained his Wimbledon Open title, as he defeated Roger Federer 7-6 (1), 6-7 (10), 6-4, 6-3 in the final tonight. Federer, who had won the Wimbledon seven times, failed yet again. He had lost to Djokovic in lat year’s final too. In 2014, it was a five-set thriller.

This is Novak Djokovic’s third Wimbledon Open title. The 8th Wimbledon title remains elusive for Federer, who is at par with Pete Sampras and William Renshaw, who had won the championship seven times each. Federer needs one more title to break the record.

Djokovic has so far won 9 Grand Slam titles in his illustrious career.
