T20 World Cup: West Indies beat South Africa, qualify for Semifinals

SamuelsWest Indies became the second team after New Zealand to qualify for the semifinals of ICC T20 World Cup, as they registered a thrilling three-wicket victory over South Africa tonight.

Earlier, South Africa managed to score 122/8 in 20 overs. Quinton de Kock was the top scorer at 47. Wiese scored 28. Russell, Gayle and Dwayne Bravo took two wickets each.

Despite losing a few wickets early and then in the middle, West Indies batsmen held their nerves to reach 123/7 in 19.4 overs and won the match by 3 wickets. Samuels (44) and Charles (32) were the top scorers. Imran Tahir took two wickets.
