Team India continue to struggle against South Africa

ONI Bureau: There is no respite for Team India in South Africa, as they continue to struggle in the second Test in Centurion after losing the first one in Cape Town. In reply to South Africa’s first innings score of 335, India finished Day 2 at 183/5.

Earlier, South Africa bowled out for 335 in the first innings. Aiden Markram (94), Hashim Amla (82) and Faf du Plessis (63) were the top scorers. For India, Ashwin took 4 wickets, while Ishant Sharma took 3 wickets.

In reply, India lost Lokesh Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara for just 28 runs on board. Despite a 79 run partnership between Vijay and Kohli, India could not achieve what it aimed for.

At Stumps, India were 183/5. Kohli is batting on 85, while Vijay was out for 46. Kohli needs more support from Hardik Pandya and R Ashwin tomorrow to give India a respectable total.
