Severe Lightning strikes, 17 Dead in Odisha

Normal life was thrown out of gear due to the heavy rain and lightning hit several parts of Odisha, on Wednesday evening.

At least 17 persons were killed and 14 others injured in lightning strikes during a thunderstorm in Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Ganjam district as well as in the capital city Bhubaneswar.

Several trees were uprooted, houses were thatched and electricity disrupted due to heavy rain in coastal belt of Odisha.
